A POS tablet stand holds the tablet you use as a till. The GRiPZO 360 mount does two things at once: it rotates the screen to the customer for payment, and it locks the tablet mechanically so it cannot be taken from the counter.
Why a till tablet needs a lock
A tablet at the point of sale stands right next to the exit and holds your orders, prices and payment app. If it disappears, you lose the device and you cannot serve customers. A plain stand does nothing against that. A locked stand does.
What the 360 mount does
- Rotates a full 360 degrees. Turn the screen to the customer to show the amount or take a signature, then turn it back.
- Tilts over 150 degrees. The screen stays readable for people of different heights, standing or seated.
- Locks with steel. The mount is steel with hardened steel grips that cannot be tampered with. There are no electronics or alarms.
- Releases with a key. Staff take the tablet out in seconds and lock it again just as fast.
- Hides the cable. The charging cable runs through the pole.
- Works with a card reader. The mount can be combined with a magnetic card reader for card payments.
From the counter to the table
In restaurants the same tablet is often till and order pad. Because the key release takes seconds, a waiter can take the tablet to a table and put it back in the mount afterwards. After closing time the tablet goes into the safe or home with the owner.
Sizes and mounting
The standard mount fits tablets from 7 to 11 inches and weighs 1.5 kg. For 12 to 13 inch tablets such as the iPad Pro there is an XL version. If you change tablets later, you swap the grip set and keep the mount.
The mount is fixed to the counter with security screws, studs and nuts, or two-component adhesive pads. On a freestanding footplate it can be moved between counters.
