Foldable Phone Display Security with the GRiPZO V3
Foldable phones invite customers to open the device and experience its larger screen. GRiPZO offers a mechanical V3 display security solution for retailers today, while developing new clamps that will let customers interact with the folding mechanism.
Available Now: Display Foldable Phones Open
The GRiPZO V3 is available immediately with a two-clamp set that secures foldable phones in a wide, open display position. Customers can pick up and explore the open phone while it remains secured to the display. The phone cannot be folded while fitted in this clamp set.
This setup offers an immediate display security option for foldable phones such as the Apple iPhone Duo and models in the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold, Google Pixel Pro Fold, HONOR Magic V, HUAWEI Mate X and OPPO Find N series. GRiPZO will check the dimensions and fit of each device before confirming the right configuration.
In Development: Let Customers Fold the Secured Phone
GRiPZO is developing new V3 clamps specifically for foldable phones. These will secure one side of the device, leaving the other side free to fold while the phone remains in the V3 holder. Customers will then be able to experience the feature that makes a foldable phone different, without removing it from the secured display.
The new clamps are not yet available. Once a suitable set is ready, an existing V3 holder can be upgraded. Retailers can install the currently available solution now and change the clamps later.
Optional Lock and Release for Closing Time
The V3 works mechanically, without cables, batteries, sensors or alarms. With the optional lock and release function, authorised staff can use a key to remove the phone together with the clamping top section. The assembly can then be stored securely in a back office, out of sight, after closing.
With the GRiPZO V1, the phone itself can be released from the bracket. With the V3, the phone stays secured in its clamps when the top section is removed.
