A tablet lock keeps a tablet in place where the public can reach it. There are three common types: a cable lock, a closed enclosure and a mechanical grip holder. GRiPZO makes the third type, which holds the tablet with hardened steel grips and releases it with a key.
When a grip holder is the right lock
- The tablet is used by customers or guests. The screen, camera and buttons stay free.
- The tablet has to come out often. Staff release it with a unique key, for example at closing time or to take an order at a table.
- You do not want to depend on electronics. The lock is purely mechanical, with no alarm or sensor.
- Tablet models change. The grips are set with 3 mm Allen screws and take tablets up to 10 mm thick.
Tablets in a protective case
In production halls and public transport, tablets often sit in a bumper case. Standard grips are too low for that. GRiPZO has higher grip sets of 20, 26 and 37 mm, so the tablet is locked with its case on.
Sizes
The standard holder fits tablets from 7 to 11 inches. The XL holder fits 12 to 13 inches. Both turn to portrait or landscape, and both are fixed with security screws, studs and nuts, or two-component adhesive pads.
